minaj? yes please..

i won’t lie when i first heard of Nicki Minaj i was like who? to me she was nothing but a biter, copying Kim’s doll-like style circa ‘How Many Licks’ and not giving any credit where it’s due. but she grew on me, she is recreating female rap, the vision, the hunger, the style. she’s cutting edge & she’s not afraid & her vocal capability makes her unique. so what if she might not write her own rhymes (we don’t even know all that yet), Kim didn’t write all her own rhymes either, it was Biggie behind the scenes. it takes a chick like Nicki to be able to skill the rhymes she spits out her mouth. in her part in Drake’s “Up All Night” she showcases an ability the masses haven’t seen in a while; a raw, hardcore smart mouth & emphasis on all the right parts, backed by a nothin’-to-be-fucked-with attitude & sex appeal.
